little boy admiring God's beautiful creationsWhere God A'int

He was just a little lad, and on the week's first day.

He was wandering home from Sunday School, and dawling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass; he found a caterpillar;

He found a fluffy milkweed pod, and blew out all the filler.

A bird's nest in a tree o'er head so wisely placed on high,

Was just another wonder that caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zigzag course, and hailed him for the lawn;

Asked him where he'd been that day, and what was going on.

"I've been to Bible school," he said, and turned a piece of sod.

He picked up a wiggle worm and said, I've learned a lot of God."

"M'm a very fine way." the nieghbor said,"For a boy to spend his time."

"If you'll tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime."

Quick as a flash his answer came! Nor were his accent faint.

"I'll give you a dollar, Mister,

If you'll tell me where God ain't!"

The Most Caring Child

Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest

he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the

most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose

next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman

who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry,

the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard,

climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor,

the little boy said, "Nothing, I, just helped him cry."
